Every journey has a beginning. The Rookscroft series opens with All Feathers and Hats, where an eloquent pheasant in a top hat arrives at Jayne's cottage with an unusual request: he would like his portrait to be painted. What follows is the beginning of a beautifully illustrated world filled with unforgettable characters, quiet humour and adventures that continue to unfold with every book.
