Dearest Friends,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I was hoping to write, but unfortunately, I got rather sick with the flu, and I've been tucked up in bed until today. This morning, I safely made my way downstairs, and now I'm on the sofa in front of the fire with a nice cup of tea and a mince pie.

As soon as I began to feel unwell, I suggested to Quentin and Robin that they might like to spend Christmas at the lovely house in Burton Agnes that they visited in the fall. I was sure the owners wouldn't mind, for who could resist such visitors?

I just received a message from them today, and I can't wait to share it with you. Robin's new roll of colour film was a hit, and he has taken the most lovely pictures!

News about Book 3, Into The wild Woods

Because I've been unwell, I have fallen behind on editing and completing all the final details of my new book. If you have preordered a copy, I'm afraid the shipping date will slip from February to the end of March/beginning of April. I don't have the exact dates because so much will also depend on the printers, and they can't forecast that far out. I'm going to include the gift of a signed map with all the preorders; it goes with the story and shows where all the lovely little creatures you meet live in the forest.

Books One and Two are now available on Kindle, I've attached links to them below, please share with your friends, and if you enjoyed the stories I would be really incredibly grateful if you would leave a review.

Book Two The Circus of the Crescent Moon on Kindle

Hello friends,

We are having a lovely time at the Hall. We found a little door outside that led to a cupboard under the Elizabethan Staircase, which made a charming, cozy nook for our stay. Most of the time, it's been reasonably quiet, but there were a couple of parties and a very extravagant dinner on Christmas Eve with some fine leftovers that have kept us well-fed. I've eaten enough chestnuts and candied fruit to last me a year, and I swear that Robin has doubled in size!

My heart's been in my beak with his photography exploits, he got a new roll of colour film for Christmas and it takes him forever to set up a shot.

People kept passing through the rooms he was in, and he had to stand very still until they left, some of them even had dogs with them, it's a miracle he's still with us.

At one point, he was on the dining room table, trying to get a good picture of the orange trees, when everyone came in to eat and the poor thing ended up between a roasted partridge and a plate of Brussels sprouts. It was all very worrying and macabre and I'll spare you the details for there was more than one close call...I'm so happy Jayne is cooking a nut roast for us, sanity restored!

We will be home tomorrow, so get the hot buttered rums ready.

Quentin

Hello there friends and thank you for visiting!

We had a very nice time, and now it's almost the day when we come home, and that's good because it's getting colder and the wind is blowing from the North, so a storm is coming. I hope for snow because it's pretty, but I don't like it on my toes because it makes them feel all icy, and then they burn, which is strange, but I think it's the blood.

Quentin says I'm getting a bit portly, but I think it's just that I'm keeping my feathers all puffed up because it's cold here unless you're by the fire, and I'm a bit scared to get too near because it's big and it spits little flames out and I don't want to get singed.

I'm excited to be home tomorrow; I hope you are somewhere warm and cozy, and you can watch the snow from the warm side of the glass.

Here are some pictures I took with my new colour film, I think that's how it looks for a person. Birds have a bit of different kind of eye and we can see ultra violet which makes everything very pretty, I don't think the film can capture that but it still looks nice.

I'm going to go to bed under the stairs now and when I wake up it will be tomorrow.

Robin
